Calculating...

Transforming an industrial warehouse into a modern, award-winning environment for collaboration and growth.

At CORE Innovation Group, we believe that a workspace should be more than just a place to work. It should inspire, support, and nurture everyone who walks through its doors. That’s why we poured our hearts into renovating our offices, creating a space that truly reflects our values, our culture, and our commitment to the team.

The result? A modern, welcoming environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and well-being. Α space designed with intention in every detail.

Interestingly, our new office space has a story of its own. It used to be an industrial warehouse, a total of 1,500 sqm, which is quite symbolic for us, as we are fully immersed in the world of manufacturing. Today, those raw industrial spaces have been reborn as vibrant areas where innovation grows - a space where industrial heritage meets contemporary design.

Perhaps there is some subjectivity in how highly we regard our workspace. After all, it’s difficult not to see it through the lens of pride and appreciation. However, this perspective is not ours alone: the project was honoured with the Gold Award at the INTERIOR AWARDS 2024 in the Commercial Rebirth Project category, offering an objective recognition of its transformation.

From warehouse to workplace: The story behind the space

When we first walked through these doors, there were no desks, no meeting rooms, no kitchen. There was raw concrete underfoot, exposed pipes overhead, and 1,500 square metres of potential. The building had previously served as an industrial warehouse, a fact that, in retrospect, feels almost too fitting for a company rooted in the world of manufacturing.

It would have been easy to see only what was missing. Instead, we saw what could be built.

The renovation, was not just a construction project. It was an act of reinterpretation. Every design decision was made with intention: how to preserve the raw, industrial character of the space while transforming it into somewhere people would genuinely want to spend their days.

The photos below are our favourite kind of reminder: that meaningful things take time, and the before is always part of the story.

Floor by floor

Our offices span three distinct floors, each designed with its own purpose, comfort and functionality in mind. They feature an open layout, designed to encourage dialogue and collaboration across departments, teams, and individuals. Whether it is spontaneous brainstorming or casual catch-ups, the space invites interaction and idea-sharing. At the same time, we value privacy and focus: fully equipped meeting rooms are available. Acoustic panels on the walls help absorb the sound, keeping the environment comfortable and productive. Each floor also features restrooms and kitchenettes for convenience.

Ground floor: Kitchen, Town Hall and Training

The ground floor is the heart of daily life at CORE Innovation Group. Here you’ll find our large, fully equipped kitchen, the centerpiece of our daily routine, stocked each morning with breakfast (shoutout to our Katerina and Eleftheria!), fresh fruits, snacks, and premium coffee, because great ideas often start over great conversations at the coffee machine. A big communal table and several smaller ones encourage shared meals and informal discussions.

This floor also houses our reception area, where we welcome our visitors, with a warm, professional setup featuring a desk, comfortable sofas and inviting armchairs.

There is also our amphitheater: a striking wooden tiered seating area adorned with colorful cushions serves as our gathering space. This is where we hold our monthly Town Hall Meetings, a tradition that helps us learn more about each other’s work, strengthen connections between teams and celebrate together during company events. The floor also hosts two fully equipped meeting rooms, including our dedicated Training Room, where project meetings and events usually take place (hosting our partners in style!). Seems like something is missing? Well, not! Of course we have a ping-pong table!

Upper Floor

The upper floor brings together diverse departments: Administration, Communication, HR, Finance & Accounting, and Innovation teams all work side by side here. This floor also houses the private offices of our Managing Partners.

The layout fosters accessibility and teamwork, while still offering spaces for focused work and strategic discussions. Our imaginatively named meeting rooms add their own personality to the floor. Acropolis pays tribute to our previous office, which overlooked the Acropolis, a view we wanted to honor. Caribbean brings a lighter mood, inspired by the phoenix palms that give it a tropical feel. And then there’s AC/DC… because sometimes a meeting room just needs a bit of rock energy.

Lower Floor

In the lower floor, our R&D team, the COREbeat team and Project Managers find their home, working alongside our Lab, where our prototypes are being tested. The floor is also designed to support a future production line, bridging the gap between concept and creation.

Bringing Nature Indoors

Even though some time has passed since our move, we are constantly finding new ways to enhance the space, guided by the feedback and needs of our team. Our latest addition has truly transformed the atmosphere: greenery, and lots of it. While small potted plants have always found homes on individual desks, we’ve now introduced beautiful aluminum planters throughout our space. These sleek containers, painted in vibrant yellow, cyan, and blue, perfectly complement our decorative cushions and the stunning graffiti art in our skylight area, while echoing both the modernism and industrial character of our space.

Why green? Studies show that incorporating plants into office environments reduces stress, boost creativity, increases productivity and improves air quality. But, beyond science, they look beautiful: they bring life, color, and a sense of calmness to our daily work environment.

And when you need a true breath of fresh air, there’s also a small backyard garden waiting. With grass, blooming roses, and a few lounge spots, it offers a quiet moment away from the desk. If you’re lucky, you might even be greeted by the friendly neighborhood cats who often stop by for some attention.

Flexibility at our Core

Here’s something important: despite having created this incredible space, we operate on a fully hybrid mode: we work from home 2-3 times a week, and August is always fully remote. We’ve invested in this beautiful workspace not to mandate presence, but to create an environment so inspiring that people genuinely want to be here. This flexibility isn’t just a policy; it’s a reflection of our trust in our people and our understanding that great work happens in many places.

The Power of Collaboration

This transformation would not have been possible without the creative minds who helped shape it.

The architectural design and renovation were led by the talented team at Gemistos, who reimagined the former industrial warehouse into the vibrant space we enjoy today.

Our greenery concept was curated by Sofia Krimizifrom Knestudio, who helped us integrate plants seamlessly into the identity of the building.

And the distinctive graffiti artwork that defines our skylight area was created by thisisbourworld, adding a bold artistic layer that bridges industrial character with contemporary expression.

Together, these collaborations helped turn a vision into a living, breathing environment.

Always Evolving

We’re not done yet. Our commitment to creating the best possible environment means we are constantly thinking ahead. At CORE Innovation Group, our offices is not just where we work. Ιt’s where we grow, connect, and innovate together. Every corner has been designed with intention, every detail considered with care.

Because we know that when people feel supported and inspired, there is no limit to what they can achieve.
