Driving Smarter, Sustainable Construction: Our Insights from e-CODOMH Conference

The inaugural e-CODOMH Conference 2025, organised by the e-CODOMH Cluster, took place on 11–12 November at the National Center for Research in Natural Sciences “DEMOKRITOS.”

The event brought together key stakeholders from the construction industry to exchange ideas and explore innovative solutions shaping the sector’s future.

As a proud member of the Cluster through the CORE Innovation Centre (CORE IC), CORE Innovation Group supported the first edition of the conference as a sponsor and actively contributed to discussions focused on building a sustainable future for construction.

Predictive Maintenance: A First Step Toward Implementing a Predictive Twin

Nikos Frangakis, Director of Business Development at CORE Innovation Group, participated as a speaker in the 2nd session titled “Sustainability & Digital Twins.”

During his presentation, “Predictive Maintenance: A First Step Toward Implementing a Predictive Twin,” he introduced COREbeat, our end-to-end Predictive Maintenance platform. Nikos also shared real-world use cases and practical examples, highlighting how predictive maintenance can pave the way toward the implementation of digital twin technologies.

Our Booth

Our booth attracted significant interest, with COREbeat, our end-to-end Predictive Maintenance solution, standing out as a key highlight of the event. Visitors had the chance to discover beatBox—the powerful hardware component behind COREbeat—and explore its intuitive interface, designed to deliver real-time insights into asset performance and maintenance requirements.

Throughout the exhibition, participants interacted directly with our team and experienced how COREbeat is revolutionizing industrial operations by making predictive maintenance more intelligent, efficient, and accessible. We also showcased insights from ongoing research at the CORE Innovation Centre, including the Theseus-H4C Project, the first Hub for Circularity in Athens.  This initiative aims to develop and deploy cutting-edge technologies for resource efficiency and waste valorization in water, energy, and materials.

About the Conference

The e-CODOMH Conference aimed to address the technological, industrial, environmental, and social challenges and opportunities within the construction and manufacturing sectors.

It provided a platform to present the latest advancements in sustainable building practices, materials, and technologies, while also fostering dialogue on EU priorities, policies, and regulatory frameworks.

Through discussions on cross-sector synergies and innovation-driven solutions, the conference sought to align industry practices with European and national sustainability goals—shaping a more resilient and forward-looking construction ecosystem.

Stay in touch

A heartfelt thank you to the organisers for a truly inspiring event—filled with insightful discussions, meaningful networking, and a shared commitment to a sustainable future for the construction industry.
