Our small multi-disciplinary team is specialised in EU funded programmes, especially Horizon 2020 (H2020). Our services stretch from funding advice, proposal writing, to innovation management and communications, as well as the dissemination of project results. Additionally, we actively participate as a technical partner in many H2020 funded projects, developing Machine and Deep Learning systems to optimize current processes and infrastructure.

1. Proposal Writer

Location: Core Innovation Office Athens
Start date: As soon as possible
Occupation: Full time


  • Identification of interesting funding opportunities for the company and its customers

  • Development of innovative concepts, analyse EU call requirements

  • Building and management of multidisciplinary consortia

  • Proposal development for collaborative projects

  • Budget design and analysis

  • Monitoring of EU and National funding opportunities

  • Active participation in internal and external brainstorming sessions



  • 3-5 years proven experience in proposal writing of FP7, Horizon 2020 proposals

  • Experience in other EU and National funding instruments is a plus

  • Experience as Project Manager of EU-funded projects is a plus


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Business Management

  • Master’s degree a plus, preferably in/related to ICT, Engineering


  • Strong analytical skills

  • Communicate at strategic level and networking skills

  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent use of English (oral, written, understanding)


  • Customer focused and business minded, with affinity to relationship management

2. Communication Coordinator

Location: Core Innovation Office Athens
Start date: As soon as possible
Occupation: Full time

The position

The Communication Coordinator will be a dynamic member of CORE’s team, responsible for communication and dissemination of several major projects, driving content creation on CORE’s marketing channels, supervising press activities and support the development of corporate communications plans. The Communication Coordinator reports to the Communication Officer and works closely with other senior staff.


  • Implementation of communication and dissemination activities in H2020 projects.

  • Content creation of printed and digital communication material

  • Set up and content administration of project websites

  • Form messages for press releases, short articles and other texts (primarily in English)

  • Organisation of European project meetings and consortium events

  • Support in project management including administrative tasks, compiling reports and deliverables, and curating content

  • Cooperation with academic and industrial project partners from across Europe

  • Administration of social media

  • Representation of CORE at project meetings and deliver presentations.

  • Writing compelling news, marketing and editorial content on CORE’s communication channels including; website, social media, newsletters, videos, annual report, policy papers, and brochures.


  • Interested in technology-oriented topics

  • University degree in communications, digital marketing or other relevant area with at least 2 years of work experience

  • Previous experience in communication, dissemination and exploitation in H2020 and/or pre-vious EU framework programmes will be considered a plus

  • Ability to communicate complex scientific and/or technological issues to different audiences and target groups

  • Excellent writing and editorial skills both in English and Greek

  • Excellent IT user skills (MS Office and other web-based tools, including social media platforms are a must)

  • High quality awareness and pleasure in independent, flexible work

  • Readiness to occasionally travel in Europe

  • Team player with good interpersonal skills

  • People and communication skills

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines

  • Willingness to carry out administrative tasks
